Many customers express concerns about the possibility of losing custom tunes during ECU or TCU or other Module cloning. In most cases, We can perform a complete data clone from the original unit to the replacement, ensuring that the tune and all calibration data remain intact. In some cases the manufacture has serial numbers hard coded to the module and cannot be changed. This will cause some tuning devices to not be able to write without buying credits again. The tune is transferred and the VIN including security but the serial is hard coded and that's what is used for licensing since it cannot be changed.
Even when an ECU/Module is physically compromised—such as from burned circuitry, corroded traces, or damaged chip legs caused by leaking capacitors—it may still be possible to recover the data. Before proceeding, please contact me to discuss recovery feasibility for your specific unit.
We perform extensive testing and data reports for our commercial customers to show what has failed on their module.
Testing is done to insure the customer complaint is verified before attempting repairs for all customers
